We are excited to announce that Olive AP Academy – Nene Valley has been selected to receive a generous grant of £5,240 from the Hudson Foundation to create a sensory kitchen garden.
The funding will enable the creation of a revolutionary outdoor space that combines sensory experiences with hands-on learning opportunities. This project will not only enrich the academic curriculum but also foster a deeper connection to nature for our students.
Students will have an opportunity to be involved in every stage of the garden’s creation, and we’re excited to see the finished project in a few months.
David Saunders, Acting Head of Olive AP Academy - Nene Valley, said:
We are incredibly grateful to the Hudson Foundation for their support and belief in our vision. This funding will allow us to create an immersive learning environment that goes beyond traditional classroom settings, empowering our students to explore, learn, and grow.
The sensory kitchen garden project represents more than just a physical space; it symbolises our dedication to nurturing students and supporting them to face the challenges of the future with confidence and resilience.
Work on the garden will start as soon as possible. Watch this space for updates!
