Outcomes for students 2022-23

We were, once again, extremely proud of our students' outcomes this year. The students completed a variety of examinations, including GCSEs, BTECs and Functional Skills.

Overall, 89% of students have completed Year 11 with accreditation; the remaining students were late entrants to the cohort (joining in April).

We have achieved 44 L1 BTECs across the cohort, with an average of just under 3 per student, as well as 13 L2 Cooking BTECs. We have also achieved 10 English and four Maths Functional Skills qualifications complimenting 13 English and 13 Maths Entry Level Certificates.

Given the difficult journey that many of our students have had in formal education we are delighted with their achievements.

As of September 2023, 85% of these students have moved onto post-16 study, most to college to study courses varying from construction, uniformed services and art & design. With our senior transitions advisor, we are working hard to support all of our students to settle into their next phase of learning. We will be following their progress and wishing them every success for the future.

Outcomes for students 2021/22

Summer 2022 was the first time many of our students had taken formal exams due to the COVID pandemic. We were extremely proud of how all our students rose to this challenge and completed a variety of exams including GCSEs, BTEC and Functional Skills. 69% or our students achieved 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, English and Science and 46% achieved 9 GCSES or equivalent or more - overall 13 students achieved a total of 102 qualifications! Given the difficult journey that many of our students have had in formal education we are delighted with their achievements.

As of September 2022, 83% of these students have moved onto post 16 study, most to Sixth Form College to do courses varying from brickwork to construction and from IT to business studies. With our local authority partner, we are working hard to support all of them to settle into their next phase of learning. We will be following their progress and wishing them the best all the way!
