Olive Academies takes data protection very seriously. During the course of our many activities we process staff and pupil data (which may be held on paper, electronically, or otherwise) and we recognise the need to treat it in an appropriate and lawful manner.
The Trust keeps personal data safe and secure. It is not shared with anybody else without an individual’s knowledge, unless the Trust is required by law to do so. An example of this is providing the government with academy census information.
The General Data Protection Regulation 2018 replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 and has been created to further protect individuals’ privacy and ensure that personal data is processed fairly and lawfully.
Here at the Trust we are using this opportunity to revise our policies and working practices to ensure compliancy with the regulation changes and that personal data is safely and securely processed. Our Privacy Notices explain how we ensure we do this.
Personal data is information that can be used to identify an individual.
Please direct any Subject Access Requests (SARs), Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and any queries regarding data protection to our Trust’s Data Protection Officer, Kuda Mika, e: kuda.mika@oliveacademies.org.uk
