We are incredibly proud to confirm that OA-Nene Valley was awarded 'Exceptional' for Inclusion and 'Strong' in all other areas, following our latest Ofsted inspection.
The inspection, which took place on 9 June 2026, was carried out under Ofsted's new inspection framework, which no longer gives schools a single overall grade. Instead, inspectors look separately at several areas to provide a more detailed picture of a school's strengths. Each area is evaluated as Exceptional, Strong, Expected, Needs attention, or Urgent improvement.
Our outcomes include:

- Personal development and wellbeing: Strong
Inclusion is at the heart of everything that happens here. Pupils know that they belong here. They feel that sense of belonging.
Among the strengths recognised by inspectors were:
- Our nurturing environment where pupils feel understood and ready to succeed
- Through targeted and effective support, pupils develop resilience, independence and positive attitudes to learning
- Our pupils re-engage with education and attend far more regularly than in their previous schools
- An ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum that consistently meets pupils’ complex needs effectively
- Careers education, advice and guidance is well thought through
- Our staff are driven by a common moral imperative to improve the lives of pupils and their families
- Our students trust that the adults around them only want the best for them

Everyone at OA-Nene Valley is incredibly proud of the findings from our Ofsted inspection. What means the most to us is that the inspection recognised the positive difference we make to the lives of our pupils. We are committed to ensuring that every young person feels valued, understood and supported to succeed, and I am incredibly proud of our pupils and staff for everything they have achieved together.
We will continue to build upon the successes identified by Ofsted in its report so that all pupils make the strongest progress possible, both academically and personally.
